Inverters

You need an inverter to convert the DC are totally produced by the solar panels into usable AC electricity for use in your home or to feedback into the electricity grid.

EKO Brand inverters

We have two inverters in our own EKO brand, the EKO 2000, for smaller systems and the EKO 5000, for larger residential and commercial systems.

Both are transformer-less grid-tied inverter, which have been rigorously tested to meet German standards and receive international accreditation.

EKO 2000

The EKO 2000 was originally produced for use with wind power systems, which required a very wide input voltage range from 100 to 500 Vdc. The benefit of that for you, in simple terms, is that – unlike some – this inverter copes easily with the variations in power your system will produce depending on the amount of sunlight.

As there’s no transformer, the unit is also lighter, weighing in at just 12.7 kilograms. It is completely water resistant and doesn’t require an enclosure. The EKO 2000 also has a full digital display to track the output of your solar system.

EKO 5000

Like the EKO 2000 but with 2.5 times the capacity. If you are installing a larger system like a 4-5 kW system, or larger then this is what you want.
