For installations up to 1.5kW, residents, small businesses and community organisations are eligible to claim solar credits for installations at primary residences and investment  properties.

Retirement villages and new housing developments, including units and apartments, are also eligible.

For installations greater than 1.5kW, Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) worth $650 per additional kilowatt will also apply.

Activities to expand residential installations already funded under the Federal governement's solar rebate programme will attract RECs worth $650 a kilowatt.
