COMMENCING AN EKO COMMUNITY
If there is no EKO Community in your area please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 0425 851 864 to understand your options.
In order to commence an EKO Community we require:
- An EKO Community coordinator. This is a local person that is passionate about their neighbourhood becoming an EKO Community. The primary activity is to be a point of reference for the community and to set up a launch event.
- A launch event. This is an information sharing session in a community building where local residents can come and hear about the EKO Community. Typically this is a 45 minute presentation followed by a 45 minute question and answer session.
EKO Community coordinators will be paid $100 per kilowatt of solar power systems installed and $100 per solar hot water system installed. This money can be used to cover the costs of phone calls and administrative time and/or help fund a solar system on a local school or community building.
